Climate

Lively as it has always been, Las Vegas sits on a desert. As expected, the city experiences a subtropical hot desert climate throughout the year. Sunshine is abundant all year round. Averagely, the city has an average of more than 310 bright sunny days. Summer months are the hottest, and begin in June and ends in September. June is usually the hottest month with an average of 40.1°C.

The highest temperature ever recorded was 47.8 degrees Celsius in July 1931 while the coldest temperature ever recorded was 13.33 degrees Celsius in 1937 and 1963.

Note: Car insurance in Las Vegas is one of the most expensive in the US. This is due to the fact that in Las Vegas is a constant movement of cars (even at 3 am). Also, high rates are due to the fact that there are many tourists who often fall into an accident.

Moving to Las Vegas is never a hustle because the road, railway, and air transport systems are well developed. Public transport system or otherwise known as RTC Transit provides bus services all over the city. BoltBus, Greyhound and Orange Belt provide inter-city bus transport services into and out of Las Vegas.

Moving by train is the most popular system of transport especially among travelers who have luggage bags, and, or want to avoid traffic jams. The monorail connects at least seven resorts. It also connects the famous Las Vegas Convention and other 8 convention facilities.

Sports

Hockey is one of the most popular sports in Las Vegas. The National Hockey League’s Vegas Golden Knights has its home ground at the Las Vegas Valley. The National Hockey League began to play the 2017-2018 season out of the famous T-Mobile Arena that is located near paradise. The Las Vegas Stadium is under construction and the National Football League will probably relocate there before 2020.
